Working in Australia

After the Global Financial Crisis, many countries are struggling with their economies, but while the Australian economy is booming with the development of contracting and mining industries. While in some other countries, highly skilled workers are fighting to keep their jobs, the unemployment rate in Australia is around 5% and there are jobs to be found in many sectors.

Australia is a modern, Western-style country with a strong industrial and business base. However, it also enjoys a warm climate, natural geographic advantages and a very casual and relaxed lifestyle.

To apply for a Work visa to Australia, you must work in a skilled occupation which has been approved by the Australian Government. The list of eligible occupations is reviewed regularly by the Government to meet the skill shortage requirements. You will also be required to demonstrate that you have the skills and experience necessary to perform the nominated occupation, including meeting any registration and licensing requirements for specific industries.
